Guidelines for Book Drive
1.
Research age and interest-appropriate book
titles. A “Wish List” tab can be found
on Project Armchair’s blog page that is updated frequently for quality literature
titles and authors. Scholastic Book Clubs are a great source of inexpensive,
quality children’s literature.
2.
Donated books MUST BE NEW! Many of the children on the pediatric floor
are very ill and cannot be exposed to dust or mold spores that can be
inadvertently carried in with used books.
Used books cannot be used.
3.
Check with Vonda Dahl as to current
needs. Quite often the book needs
vary. We have gone through phases of
desperately needing board books for infants, or Middle School Readers for the
10-13 crowd. Please ask if there are
specific needs at the time.
4.
Vonda, or a representative of Project
Armchair will be more than happy to personally thank your group, if possible.
5.
If local, contact Vonda on best way to
deliver books. If outside
